Grammar: Verb ”To be” in the present simple

Grammar : Articles ”a” and ”an”.
 
Rule:
Singular: nouns that start with consonants take ”a” before them.
Exemples: a student
                 a dog
                 My friend is a doctor.
                 It is a cat.
 
Singular: noun that start with vowels take ”an” before them.
Exemples: It is an animal.
                 Mona is an Italian teacher.

We are Ø students (plural).
No articles with plural.
